10 Things Not To Do During Interview

10 Things Not To Do During Interview

During Interview we have lot of Questions in our Mind Interview Process, Technical Questions, Academics etc., and here some actions what you should avoid doing in an interview so as not to damage your chances of success.
1) Showing Up Unprepared :
First of all…don’t make the mistake of going into an interview without researching the industry, the company, the boss, and as much as you can about the specific position. and Make sure to bring copies of your resume and ask the employer or technical recruiters whether they would like one.
2) Showing Up Late :
Unless you have a very good excuse and ring ahead to rearrange, turning up late for an appointment will not endear you to any employer.Having said that, obviously circumstances arise that are out of everyone’s control:  train/bus delays, traffic, a flat tire or car troubles (for real – not just the typical excuse). It is better if you show up to the venue a little earlier which may saves you from being disqualified.
3) Dressing and Appearance :
You only get one chance to make a first impression.  Take some basic steps to ensure you’re presentable for your interview.  Brush your hair, shave, use deodorant and make sure you’re buttoned up for your meeting.
4) Sitting While Shaking Interviewer’s Hand :
Remaining seated is a slight sign of disrespect and even laziness. When the employer or IT recruiters enter the room, stand up and shake their hands.
5) Sitting in Chair Before Offering :
It is Another subtle sign of disrespect, Don’t dare to sit without permission. Here in particular situation its common courtesy to wait until you’re shown a seat to sit down. Also, avoid slouching or putting your feet anywhere but firmly on the ground.
6) Clock Watching :
It will be annoying, if you are constantly a clock watcher.Don’t do it – especially in an interview. It’s distracting, annoying and rude to the interviewer. If you’re serious about the job you need to show it by giving it your full attention.
7) Asking Questions :
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. You should come prepared with a list of questions to ask before any interview. Interviewers like people who want to learn, And actually like people who challenge. So, If additional questions come to mind during the meeting, simply write them down and ask when appropriate.
8) Badmouth :
As in society, people gravitate to those who remain positive.  There is no room for negativity in an interview.  If you had a bad “break up” with your last position, don’t dwell on it.  Spin the positive experience that you gained from the technical job.  If you didn’t like a former boss, simply state that you didn’t see eye to eye.  Take the high road; don’t throw anyone under the bus.
9) Don’t Use Clichés :
I’ve heard them all. “I’m a problem-solver.” “I’m a real team player.” “I’m a perfectionist.” I don’t need to hear general descriptions of how great you are (especially those clichés). Avoid such cliches in interviews.
10) Avoid Chit Chat :
Never forget that this is an interview for a job. Be professional. Be business-like. This is not the forum to share intimate details of your personal life, the ups and downs of your marriage, or your recent break-up. It is the forum to discuss why you want the job and will be an asset to the company
